At Esther’s Milk & Honey Farm, we understand that healthy, well-nourished cows produce the best milk. That’s why we’ve dedicated a significant portion of our land to cultivating lush pastures and growing nutrient-rich fodder for our dairy herd. We prioritize a diverse mix of grasses and legumes, including lucerne (alfalfa), which is known for its high protein content and essential minerals. This not only ensures a balanced diet for our cows but also promotes sustainable soil health.
Our commitment to pasture management goes beyond simply growing fodder. We carefully rotate our grazing areas to prevent overgrazing and promote the regeneration of grasses. We also monitor soil fertility and adjust our planting schedules to ensure optimal yields throughout the year. By taking a proactive approach to pasture production, we’re able to provide our cows with a consistent source of high-quality feed, which in turn contributes to the superior quality of our milk.
